The Steps To Take The Lead
Meet & Greet
A meet and greet is compulsory for all Take The Lead services. This is a good chance to ask any questions you may have. It is also so we can be introduced to you and your fur baby’s needs. During the meet and greet we will discuss all the options available, see if your dog fits in with Take The Lead and go through all our prerequisites. We will go through our agreements, pet and owner information sheets to make sure everything is clear.
Familiarisation Walk
After the meet and greet, a complimentary initial solo walk will be planned as an opportunity for Take The Lead to assess your dog’s suitability for pack walks and to start the initial bonding with Take The Lead. Once a solo walk has been completed and all is well, your dog will join the pack on our adventure walks.
Adventure Walks
Your dog will be introduced slowly to the pack and ensure that no dogs are stressed or feeling uncomfortable. The first few walks will be trial based. We represent honesty in our work and if there are signs that Take The Lead is not the right fit for your dog’s welfare, we will let you know and recommend other reputable options.
Our Services
Solo Walks
Our solo walks are tailored exactly to your dog's needs as they have our one-on-one attention with no other dogs in the group to worry about. The perfect opportunity to work on training and socialisation in a more controlled setting. These range between 30 minute and 1 hour walks.

Adventure Walks
A minimum of 1 hour adventure walk or play, these may be in the forest, at the beach or having fun in a dog park. We provide structure and freedom on our walks to make sure that all your dogs are physically and mentally stimulated. We provide a pick up and drop off service to your door.
$39 per dog
$21 for any additional dog in the household
Drop In Visits
Pet visits are suitable for all types of pets; an option for those fur babies who are not yet ready to join the pack. Services such as letting your pet outside for a toilet stop, a short walk or to administer medication where necessary. This is offered at a per household price and not per pet.

Doggy Daycare on the move
We offer doggy daycare services for when you don’t want your fur baby to spend the day alone, your pet can enjoy spending their time with Take The Lead at an agreed duration of between 4-6 hours. Enjoying the adventure walk(s) for that day and returning to base with Take The Lead.

Pick Up/Drop Off
If you cannot be home to take your dog to that all-important vet appointment, airport transportation or whether it’s just a trip to the groomers for a spruce up, we offer a pick-up and drop off service. Take The Lead offers this as a household price and not per individual pet.

Weekend Adventure Walks
For those times when you are super busy on a weekend and just need to ensure your dog gets out and about, we can provide a helping hand. These adventure walks will take us far and wide across the local tracks and beaches. Advanced bookings required.
